Job description – front-end React developer

As a front-end React developer, you’ll be responsible for developing dynamic, high-performance web applications using React.js. You will collaborate closely with other developers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to build responsive and engaging user interfaces. Your role will focus on coding, optimizing, and testing components to deliver seamless experiences for our users.

At Your Tech Club, you’ll work in a structured development environment with a strong emphasis on code quality, code coverage, and test automation.

Key responsibilities

  1. Build interactive front-end components

    • Develop modular and reusable components using React.js for dynamic web applications.

  2. Ensure code quality with 80% coverage

    • Write unit tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or similar frameworks to maintain our 80% code coverage standard.

  3. Implement automated testing

    • Create and manage end-to-end tests with Cypress or Selenium to automate and validate user interactions.

  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams

    • Work closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality applications.

  5. Optimize application performance

    • Implement best practices for performance optimization to ensure fast and responsive applications.

  6. Participate in code reviews

    • Review code from other team members to promote best practices and ensure clean code principles.

Required skills and experience

  • 3+ years of experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Proven experience with automated testing methodologies, including unit testing and end-to-end testing.

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium.

  • Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) principles.

  • Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.

  • Familiarity with version control using Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
