Privacy policy

Which data we process when you use this site or contact us, why, and what your rights are.

Who processes your data

Your Tech Club B.V., located at Duivendrechtsekade 80B, 1096 AH Amsterdam, is the data controller. Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 85798525, VAT number NL863738498B01. You can reach us at info@yourtechclub.com or +31 (0)20 308 6200.

What data we collect

We only collect data you give us yourself, plus usage data you consent to or that we describe below under ad measurement.

  • Through our forms: your name, email address, phone number, company name, website and the content of your message. Which fields are required differs per form.
  • By email or phone: the data you share yourself in that contact.
  • Through analytics and marketing cookies: data about your visit, but only if you have given your consent. See the cookie policy.

We do not ask for special categories of personal data, and we ask you not to include them in a form or email either.

What we use it for

  • To respond to your question or request. Legal basis: the performance of, or steps towards, a contract, or our legitimate interest in maintaining business contact.
  • To measure what our ads on Facebook and Instagram deliver. If you came to our site through a Meta ad and submit a form, we report that request to Meta. We send your email address and phone number in hashed (unreadable) form, the click code from the ad link, your IP address and your browser type. Meta uses this to link the request to the ad and to show our ads more often to people who will find them useful. We do this even if you have not accepted marketing cookies: we do not read or store anything on your device for it. If you have accepted them, the report goes through the Meta pixel. If your request later leads to a meeting, or you become a client, we report that step as well, using the same hashed data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which ads lead to requests. If you object, let us know at the address below; we will stop reporting your data and ask Meta to delete it.
  • To improve our services and website. Legal basis: your consent, through the cookie banner.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as our obligation to keep business records. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

We use service providers that process data on our behalf. We have data processing agreements in place with them. At the moment, these are:

  • Mailgun — sends the emails that result from our forms, including the confirmation to you.
  • Pipedrive — our CRM, in which we record business contact.
  • Our hosting provider — runs the website and stores the related log files.
  • Meta: when you came through a Meta ad and submit a form, as described above. Otherwise only with your consent to marketing cookies.
  • Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft: only when you have consented to analytics and marketing cookies.

We arrange hosting and processing within the European Union. At Meta, Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, processing may take place outside the EU. At Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft this only happens after your consent.

How long we keep it

We do not keep data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we received it. Data from a contact request that does not lead to working together is deleted as soon as the contact has ended. Data that belongs to an assignment is kept for as long as we work together and after that for as long as the law requires; for our accounting records, that is seven years.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. You can also object to the processing, ask for it to be restricted and request your data in a commonly used format. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.

Send your request to info@yourtechclub.com. We respond within the legal deadline of one month. If we can't resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Your Tech Club is ISO 27001 certified for information security and ISO 9001 certified for quality management. These certifications apply to our organisation and the defined scope.

Changes

We update this policy when our services or the way we process data change. The top of this page shows when we last updated it.
