Reads new support requests, works out the topic and urgency, and assigns them to the right team.
Connects toCustomers expect a quick answer, in the evening too and in their own language. Meanwhile much of your support team's time goes on reading, sorting, looking things up and retyping before the real work starts.
An AI employee for customer service takes over those first steps: sorting and routing questions, answering standard questions from your own sources, answering the phone when nobody can, preparing orders and returns. Exceptions, goodwill gestures and angry customers go to a person.

The repeat questions whose answer is in your knowledge base or documentation, such as order status, opening hours, returns policy and instructions. Plus the groundwork: sorting questions, estimating urgency and adding context. Anything that calls for judgement or an exception goes to a colleague.
Not quite. A chatbot is one channel. An AI employee works in your ticketing system, your inbox or your online store, looks at customer data and earlier tickets, and routes a question to the right team when it may not or cannot answer it itself. The answer comes from your sources, with the source shown.
By letting it answer only from your sources and showing the source with the answer. If something is not in there, it says so and hands over. That is why keeping the knowledge base up to date is part of the setup: an outdated article produces an outdated answer.
