AI ROI calculator
An Excel model to work out one AI use case: time, errors, costs and payback period
Free · calculation model · Excel, 4 tabsHalf an hour, with your own numbers
You work out one AI use case with your own numbers, and see what it delivers per year, what it costs and after how many months it pays for itself.
The document is in Dutch.
Why you won't find this anywhere else
An AI business case usually goes wrong on the assumptions, not on the sum. This model keeps the assumptions separate: how many tasks per month, how many minutes now and later, what an error costs, and what implementation and maintenance cost. With three scenarios side by side you see straight away how sensitive the outcome is to one wrong assumption. It is a tool, not a guarantee: the result is only as good as the numbers you put in.
What's inside
- An input tab with eleven parameters, each with a short explanation
- A results tab with time saved, error costs, annual costs, net benefit, ROI and payback period
- A scenarios tab that puts conservative, base and ambitious side by side
- A short guide, so a colleague can fill in the model on their own
Who it's for
- Management teams that have to assess an AI proposal
- Finance leads who want to check a business case
- Anyone who has to justify why an AI use case is worth it
Not for anyone who doesn't yet know which process to work out. Start with the clockwork of your company instead.
What this document doesn't solve
You have worked out one use case. Which use cases exist in your company, and which comes first, is not in it.
That's what the AI Opportunity Audit is for: we map your processes, show where AI and automation deliver the most, and set out what to do first.
