You often see WooCommerce at wholesalers and manufacturers that want an ordering portal for regular buyers alongside their website. With plugins, business customers get their own prices or order on account. SnelStart keeps track of the debtors, the items and often the stock too.
With consumers, the order is paid before it comes in. With business customers on account it isn't: the order becomes an invoice and an open item, and SnelStart needs to know the customer with the right payment terms. An integration has to make that distinction, or you post orders on account as paid, or every consumer ends up as a separate debtor in your books.

SnelStart doesn't build integrations itself; its integrations overview lists WooCommerce integrations from software partners. One of them reads in orders with items, payment reference and status, with extensions for stock and items, reporting the order status back and entries as an alternative to orders. Another posts the sale including VAT, shipping costs and discounts.
For an online store selling to consumers, that's often enough. With business customers who have their own prices, order on account or use plugins that change the checkout, first test whether the integration knows the fields your store uses.
- Business customers have their own pricing agreements that are in SnelStart and need to apply in the online store.
- Customers order on account and need to see their outstanding invoices in their store account.
- A plugin adds fields, such as a reference or delivery location, that need to appear on the order in SnelStart.
- Besides WooCommerce you have other channels that use the same stock.
AI reads, sorts and prepares a suggestion. Where it matters, a person decides.
Checking new business customers
When a new customer applies for an account on credit, AI prepares the details for review: is the VAT number valid, does the customer already exist in SnelStart? A team member approves the customer before they can order on account.
Following up debtors
AI sees which business customers are past their terms and prepares a draft reminder, or suggests temporarily requiring a customer to pay up front. A person makes that decision.
Paid or on account
Have the integration distinguish between an order already paid in WooCommerce and an order on account. Only the first can be posted as paid straight away.
Order status as the trigger
WooCommerce has statuses such as pending payment, processing, completed and cancelled. Only pass orders on at processing, and handle cancellations and refunds as a separate step.
Customer prices in one place
If pricing agreements are in SnelStart, don't also maintain them by hand in a WooCommerce plugin. Otherwise the store charges a different price from the one on the invoice.
Online administration and key
The integration only works with an online SnelStart administration, and according to SnelStart a custom integration through the Maatwerk tile needs inZicht or inControle. If you restore a backup, reactivate the integration with the new key.
What goes where
Which data moves, in which direction, and which system wins when two values differ. That is written down before anything gets built. For this integration, that means: Order to sales order, Business customer to customer record, Stock to WooCommerce, Items to the online store, Order status back.
Fields and rules
For every field, how it translates between the systems: statuses, VAT codes, general ledger accounts, item numbers. And what happens with a duplicate or a missing value. Can business customers order on account through WooCommerce and have that processed in SnelStart?
Yes. The order then becomes an invoice for a customer record in SnelStart, with the payment terms that belong to that customer. The invoice stays open until the payment comes in through the bank and is matched.
Does every consumer need to be a separate customer record in SnelStart?
Not necessarily. You can also post consumer orders to a collective debtor account and only create business customers as records. Discuss with your bookkeeper what works best for your administration.
Can WooCommerce use prices from SnelStart?
Yes, with an integration that sends prices or pricing agreements from SnelStart to the online store. Standard integrations mainly sync orders, stock and items; customer-specific prices usually need a custom integration. What matters is that each price is managed in only one place.
Does the integration work with every WooCommerce plugin?
Not automatically. Plugins for checkout, business customers or invoices add their own fields or change the order. Test with a few real orders which fields arrive in SnelStart before you go live.
How does the integration get access to SnelStart and WooCommerce?
On the SnelStart side with a connection key you create in SnelStart Web under Koppelingen: through the partner's tile, or through the Maatwerk tile for a custom integration. On the WooCommerce side, the integration works with the REST API and API keys you create in your store.
